About

A Queer Performance is designed to be a collection of miscellanea dealing with the theme of living a gynosexual transgender life. The topics will range from transitioning along the MTF spectrum, to news and videos dealing with transgender issues, to whatever else may highlight the liberation of gender.

It is hoped that the blog will provide opportunities for people to further reflect on the nature of sexuality and gender; to think critically about their own performance of and participation in social sex roles; and, to develop an understanding that transgendered people add a richness to our shared life.

The author, a trans woman, dyke and lifelong resident of the Pacific Northwest, has done undergraduate work in philosophy, graduate work in literature, and spent 14 years in the performing arts. When not exploring new ways of expression, engaged in deep philosophical conversations, or having lustful thoughts about Reese’s Pieces, she can be found hunkered over her laptop trying to write short stories.
